Just wanted to thank you for your YouTube review of Gamma World (PCAGZ Ep. 10). It has been over 30 years since I played a table-top RPG, and I simply had to do something to get my 14-year son off the computer. So, I picked up the latest edition of Gamma World (the “abomination” version) this summer, and had some fun as a Game Master with my son and his friends. I really appreciate your depth of analysis–it took me by surprise, frankly. It also gave me ideas about how to improve the game: use the cards in a different way, re-introduce a level of seriousness to the game, change the beginning (I’m a particle physicist at a major University, so I have some ideas.) I can see now that *many* other people have taken this road. Anyhow, I really appreciate your work. It helped re-affirm my feeling about the game, and triggered ways GW can be improved. It sounds like this version did *so* badly in the market, the game will not see another version…
